Senior Financial Analyst
Celine Paton is an economic and financial expert in solar energy and power infrastructure projects at the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS). She is the project manager of the World Bank’s flagship series of reports “Where Sun Meets Water”, highlighting the latest world market and technology trends regarding floating solar.
Prior to joining SERIS, Celine was a freelance Energy Infrastructure Consultant specialising in on-grid renewable energy auctions, liquid fuel storage terminals and gas-to-power infrastructure initiatives. She has been involved in several power policy reform and sustainable energy regulation projects with development finance institutions in Africa. She also worked between 2006 and 2010 in export and project finance at BNP Paribas Fortis in Belgium, analysing project-financing transactions of the (then-nascent) European solar PV sector. Celine holds a Master in International Business Economics from Leuven School of Business and Economics, a Master of Business Economics from Louvain School of Management and a Bachelor of Business Science in Management from Facultés Universitaires Saint-Louis, Belgium.
